Ship In A Bottle On A Larger Sea

Ship in a bottle on a larger sea
cast forth from me to thee
the waves will push it here
the waves will push it there
it could wind up anywhere.

Only God knows where it will land
as it washes up on distant sand
inside there will be a note
cast forth in this object that can float.

What does this note say?
Not today
Not tomorrow
but someday
and soon.
