The Christmas Tree: A Poem

This is the place where dreams come true
This is the time to say "Love you"
Those branches fair
hung with special care
angels and candy cane
socks on chimney lain
This is the night
where shines the light
that shatters winter darkness blues
to mark where angels sang Joyous news
"He is Come! He is come!"
so 'midst fairy and sugarplum
That neverending story begun
at Bethlehem long ago
lifts us up 'midst winter snow.
